Here we are in 2026 and the seemingly simple goal of finding a mobile app to scan books, find decent metadata, and create a collection is still too difficult.

My first time back at the Filmhouse in several years, and the little one’s first full film in a cinema experience, had me feeling quite emotional.

I didn’t realise that just walking up the steps with him to the front door would have bring such a wave of feelings.

Really enjoying this series. The action sequences are superb, the tension is almost stifling at times, and the light hearted moments bring some relief. Love it.

I tried a mushroom growing kit recently. Pack a tub full of used coffee ground and wet cardboard, along with some spores, and wait for the mushrooms to poke through.

Might try it again but cut a few holes in the lid, maybe get more mushrooms.

In order to get to know the circular saw a bit, I built a shonky cat stepladder for our aging cats.

Just watched one of them contort herself around it in order to get in the door. Oh well.

We’ve filled this thing three times over now. Slowly clearing the front jungle/garden.

I’m not sure the recipe will work so well with that substitution.

Switched up how the bluesky feeds generators are consuming all the messages. Turned out to be a great idea as it’s dropped the CPU usage massively. I’m basically back to free tier for hosting it now!

So what I want is a single copy with the cover blemishes of each taken out, but it’s fine. Now I just need to get lucky with volume 2…
