Cars and TVs don’t need jingles and dancing light sequences for switching on and off. What possible benefit is there to this?

With everything becoming a general purpose CPU but with wheels/a screen, product owners are just saying “Sure, why not?” instead of “No, that’s pointless”

    This frustration brought you to by me trying to stop the car showing WhatsApp alerts, trying to find how to angle the headlights, getting angry at the twelve step process to get cruise control working, the audio jingles on the TV, and trying to get the TV to properly down mix for the soundbar.
